Welcome to my art adventure.
I would like to start by saying that I am not super awesome at art and drawing so be nice when looking at what I have done.
I am doing digital art on a tablet. It plugs into my laptop. There isn't a screen on the tablet so I have to draw while simultaneously looking at the screen.
It took me quite a while to get used to my controls. It's not like a track pad on a laptop because the top corner of the tablet will always be the top corner of my laptop. It is sometimes uncomfortable but I just haven't found where I like to put the tablet in relation to me and my laptop.
The tablet came with a program called Painters Essentials 7. I like the wide range of brushes on it and that I can choose pictures from my computer and trace them. I started getting used to the controls by tracing various pictures that I have floating around my laptop.
I have drawn my steers mostly since that's what I have on my laptop.
Last genius hour, I mostly just experimented with all of the brushes the program offers. I tested all of them out on one canvas. There are so many different options including ones that have effects, sparkles, and even ones that manipulate photos. I am excited to figure out how to use all of them correctly.
I am struggling to upload my images so that is something I will hopefully learn how to do for next week.
I also traced a random character from a French TV show I watch. He has very fluffy hair and I am proud how that turned out. The blending I tried to do made him look dirty. I couldn't quite figure out how to blend correctly and struggled to actually emulate any sort of shadow.
Next week, I am going to watch some videos on color theory and maybe figure out how to blend.

I like the drive to try and practice and improve on your artistic skills. I also struggle with drawing and being creative artistically. I think it will be fun to watch how you progress and advance. Good Luck!
