Welcome to the last official week of my art adventure!
I am not even close to done with the still life I've started, but I am really happy with the progress I have made. I think I will be able to finish it this weekend.
This week, I started coloring my still life. I decided I want to do colors and not just do black and white because I think that will be a little more of a challenge.
I started with the metal cup first. I did it with my drawing pad on my lap so it was interesting having to work around not having a hard surface to draw on. This is what the cup looks like:

The color of the peach is also in this screen shot. I just used shades of grey for the cup and I don't think it turned out half bad. The peach was a lot harder to do since I had to work with colors.
I started with a base orange color. I don't have as many brush choices in this program so I was really limited in how I was able to make the colors look more gradient. I have had to improvise by using the blur and smudge tool one after the other to make a semi-realistic look.
I also started coloring the grapes and I kind of feel like an idiot for doing grapes. I will have to make each grape its own gradient and it will take me some time.
I know they look like a big purple smudge but I think I will be able to refine them into something that looks more realistic.
I am excited to see what the finished product looked like and I am also just excited to be done worrying about art. I have really struggled with things looking like "bad art". I know I am a beginner but I just want to be at least adequate at what I am doing and I haven't always felt like that. I just have to remember that bad art is good art because I made art.

What you have done looks really good! You seem to have made quite a bit of progress, and you should be happy with your work. Art isn't for everyone but it is a good way to be creative. I hope the rest of this project goes well for you, and hopefully you enjoyed making some beautiful art!
