Genius Hour 2.3

Welcome back to my art adventure!

This week, I worked on using the blenders again. I followed a short YouTube tutorial on simple color and blending techniques. This is the one I used:
Easy Art Tutorial

It wasn't super long or detailed, but as a visual person, I had a much easier time by just watching the dude work.

This is what my setup looked like:

I kept forgetting that I could zoom in so it took me a while to actually get something I liked.

I also struggle with the color triangle. It's hard to move the slider and get a color that will blend with the others well. The program is also really finicky with brush sizes so I had a hard time getting as precise as I wanted to.

The "finished" project:

I honestly think it turned out pretty well. I could have cleaned up the edges a bit, but overall, I am proud of how far I have come.

Next week, I plan on doing another tutorial. Eventually, I would like to follow a Bob Ross tutorial.

  1. I think this would be something challenging to learn, but you seem to be doing pretty well. It is a brave step to show your progress, and it must be more challenging to learn to draw while learning the software you chose. Keep practicing until you get the hang of it, and have fun with it.

  2. It looks like you're making great progress! Would you be open for commissions eventually and could I commission an art piece for out DnD campaign logo?
